United for Recovery

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, more than 390,000 service members and tens of thousands of civilians have suffered complex injuries. Up to 80% of them have mine-blast wounds. Up to 30% of severe cases result in amputation.
The leading cause of limb loss is extensive destruction of bone and soft tissue that cannot be restored using standard medical methods.
More than 300,000 Ukrainians may require implants to regain movement, function, and quality of life.

* Statistics announced by the President of Ukraine, January 2025, and the UN, 2024.

About the Project

ReBone is a joint initiative of the Tykho Foundation and VELTA MEDICAL, aimed at producing individual implants for wounded service members and civilians.

Our Goal — to build a systemic, fast-access pathway to personalized implantation, so that every defender who has lost even a critical part of bone tissue has a chance at recovery — regardless of the cost or length of treatment.

Program Objective — to raise funds and create a sustainable model for financing personalized implants that brings together:

Donors and businesses that provide financial support.

The Tykho Foundation, which works directly with donors and partners, coordinates requests, logistics, and reporting.

VELTA MEDICAL, which designs, models, and manufactures the implants.

Ukrainian surgeons, who perform the surgeries.

We do not respond only to individual cases — we aim to build an effective, ongoing mechanism that enables rapid support, strengthens local manufacturing, and reinforces Ukraine’s medical system.
We are not creating “iron people.”
We are restoring what the war has taken — movement, strength, life without pain.
Every implant delivered is proof of what we can achieve when we unite around life.

We sincerely thank everyone who joined and continue doing good together, as there are still many wounded soldiers who need complex implantation. That is why we are opening a new fundraiser in the amount of UAH 641,025 to produce titanium implants for seven Ukrainian service members.
What we are raising funds for:
● 4 cranial plates;● 2 cages;● 1 shoulder implant.
The fundraising is carried out within ReBone, a joint initiative of the foundation and Velta Medical.

Let’s help a wounded soldier regain his quality of life together. The Tykho Foundation and Velta Medical, within the ReBone initiative, are launching the first fundraiser for a titanium cranial implant for 22-year-old Petro from the 82nd Air Assault Brigade.
He sustained multiple injuries near Kupiansk on January 1, 2025. Cranial reconstruction will close a defect in his skull caused by severe trauma.
Without it, full recovery and further rehabilitation are impossible.

Fundraiser Closed! Vitaliy Hrabkov Is Getting His Implant

Together with the crowdfunding platform "Moye Misto," we have closed the fundraiser for an individual titanium implant for serviceman Vitaliy Hrabkov!
Thanks to the support of 138 donors, we raised over 51,000 ₴ for the production of the cranial plate Vitaliy needs for the next stage of his recovery following a severe head injury sustained while defending Ukraine.
Every contribution became part of something larger: from a symbolic 1 hryvnia to the largest single donation of 2,589 ₴, with an average contribution of 370 ₴. This is how the power of community works — when many people come together for one important goal. The initial target was 68,717 ₴, but a portion of the funds was raised directly through the foundation's community, which helped close the campaign ahead of schedule.
Through the ReBone project and the technology of personalized titanium implants, Vitaliy will soon be able to receive the implant he needs and undergo the surgery that will mark a significant step forward on his path to recovery.
We sincerely thank everyone who supported this fundraiser, the Moye Misto platform for their continued partnership — this is already the second campaign we have run together — and all those who help our service members access modern medical treatment.

Tykho Foundation Presented ReBone at the Country's Largest Charity MarathonTykho Foundation Presented ReBone at the Country's Largest Charity Marathon

On May 16–17, the CFTykho team joined as a partner in the charitable MHP Run4Victory Kyiv Marathon. This year, for the first time since the start of the full-scale war, the race returned to the heart of the capital, bringing together 7,215 participants. By the end of the event, the organizers raised 5,007,879 ₴, which MHP, BF "MHP-Hromadi," and NewRun are transferring to the Protez Foundation to fund prosthetics for veterans.
With the support of Yevhen Yanovych, actor and foundation ambassador, the team raised over 20,000 ₴ at their location for implants. Oleksiy Novikov, the World's Strongest Man 2020, and Marko Kvitka, Ukrainian singer and Armed Forces serviceman, also joined in engaging with guests and supporting the fundraiser.
Andriy Lyman, founder of the foundation and active-duty serviceman, noted: "For us, participating in MHP Run4Victory was a way to support the shared goal of the race while also bringing attention to ReBone — the program through which we help wounded service members receive custom implants for recovery after complex injuries. Events like this show very clearly that the path to recovery is made up of many decisions — from a charitable starting line to concrete medical assistance."

Together with the crowdfunding platform "Moye Misto," we are launching another fundraiser

Since the beginning of this year, thanks to your support, we have raised funds and covered the cost of implants for five serviceman. We are also steadily approaching the closing of a major fundraiser exceeding 600,000 ₴ for seven wounded soldiers.
During this campaign, we also managed to partially reduce the required amount thanks to our partners — we are deeply grateful to them for this.
And now, together with the crowdfunding platform "Moye Misto," we are launching another fundraiser — for the production of an individual titanium implant: a cranial plate for Vitaliy Hrabkov.
Vitaliy Hrabkov, a service member of military unit 7018, sustained a severe injury while defending his country. In the course of combat operations, he suffered a serious head trauma. To begin his recovery, Vitaliy requires cranial plate implantation.
The cost of its production is 68,717 ₴. Over 24,000 ₴ have already been raised — the remaining balance from a previous fundraiser combined with your donations on the platform. That means one third of the total amount is already covered.
Let's close the rest quickly and set Vitaliy's recovery in motion.
Thank you for your trust!

Results of the first fundraiser within the ReBone project

In November, together with you, we raised funds for a custom-made titanium implant for a 22-year-old serviceman from Chernivtsi — Petro Kozachuk. The fundraiser was closed in just one day. Today, we can report: the surgery has been successfully performed!

Petro sustained a severe traumatic brain injury with a skull bone defect and therefore required cranioplasty. An individualized titanium plate is one of the most effective ways to repair such defects. It is manufactured based on the patient’s CT scan and precisely tailored to their anatomy. This allows the implant to fit the bone more accurately, integrate faster, and contribute to better overall recovery.

The implant was created as part of the joint ReBone initiative by our foundation and Velta Medical, which provides wounded military personnel and civilians with individualized implants.

ReBone’s First Crowdfunding Campaign in Partnership with Moie Misto

We are launching ReBone’s first crowdfunding campaign together with the Moie Misto platform — a space where socially important ideas find support from the community.

We will be raising funds for a custom-made titanium implant for Mykhailo Vlasenko, a 29-year-old soldier who took part in combat operations, was wounded, recovered, and returned to military service, where he was seriously injured for the second time. Today, Mykhailo needs a complex surgery involving a custom titanium cranioplasty implant, which will protect his brain and create the necessary conditions for further rehabilitation.

Fundraising goal: 82,830 UAH.

Our first fundraiser within the partnership between our foundation and Velta Medical was completed in just one day

We even raised a little more than the required amount — the remaining funds will be reserved for the next patient.
A few numbers:
• 67 people contributed to the fundraiser.
• 112% of the needed amount was collected in just 24 hours.
Thanks to all of you, Petro will soon get his chance to recover.
Together, we raised over 40,000 UAH for the production of the cranial implant.
We are sincerely grateful to each of you — and we continue creating good together.
