HISTORY OF CREATION

The foundation began its activity on the 26th of February 2022.

We decided to name the fund TYKHO (which means "quietly") because our friend once said, “When in your life everything is going good, you can do whatever you want. But whenever you have problems you need to stop talking and begin to solve them quietly and effectively”. Also, in general, the quiet power is bigger than the loud one.
Here is what the CEO of the foundation Andriy Lyman says about the beginning of the foundation “The first thing I did after the full-scale invasion - I went to the recruiting office, but I was refused, because I didn't know how to shoot. Then I decided to stay in my hometown and I realized that I could change it for good. Firstly my town, then the region, and later I can make a bigger impact. I had a lot of cool people around me, but they needed an active leader. So I've decided to dedicate myself to it.When the full-scale invasion just started, I got a lot of phone calls from my friends asking me what should they do. There were plenty of people, who were ready to follow me and my path. Normally, I have a lot of acquaintances from different environments. I have never been a so-called “friends-collector”, but I am quite outgoing, so it just happens that I have a wide circle of communication.
We started by giving away our own vehicles and made agreements with the local businesses about the fuel with a total cost of hundreds of thousands of UAH. We had been sending vans to Mykolaiv and trucks to Kharkiv, providing military units in Odesa with food for the next couple of months. We had been organizing a food supply for the workers of "Ukrzaliznytsia" in several regional centers. As soon as it was possible we began the process of evacuating people from the Azovstal.
It is hard to name everything that we have done. The most important thing - we do not stop on the previous accomplishments. In addition, during this time the team of "TYKHO" was created. Those are all the people, that are connected with joined motto “less talking, more actions”. This foundation became a legal instrument for their volunteer activity”
As for now, Andriy Lyman is fighting in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine namely in 46th brigade of The Air Assault Forces, “Haruda” unit.
